Who you're hiring
The people who quote it are the people who pour it
Plenty of concrete companies sell you a job and then hand it to whoever is free that week. We don't work that way. The same in-house crew forms, pours, finishes and cleans up on every job, and the person who gives you the price is the person you call while the work is happening.
That matters most on the days that go sideways — an old footing that isn't where the drawings say, a rain forecast that moves a pour, a neighbour who needs the driveway kept clear. There's no dispatcher in the middle, so those get sorted in one phone call.

How a job runs
Most of the work happens before the truck arrives
Anyone can pour concrete into a hole. What decides whether a slab is still flat and uncracked in ten years is what went under it: how much of the old material came out, how deep and how well compacted the granular base is, where the reinforcement sits, and which way the surface drains.
So that's where our time goes. We tear out and cart away the old concrete, build and compact the base, set forms to a fall that moves water away from the house, tie in reinforcement, and only then book the pour. Finishing and curing get the same attention — a slab that's floated too early or left to dry too fast will tell on you eventually.
Insulation and radiant tubing set out in a Baby Point basement, ready for the slab.

A GTA winter is the real test
Freeze-thaw is what actually kills concrete in this city. Water gets into a slab that wasn't drained, mixed or cured properly, freezes, expands, and lifts it apart — and by the third or fourth winter you can see it. We're usually the ones who get called to replace those.
The fix isn't exotic: proper base depth, real compaction, the right reinforcement for the load, air-entrained mix where it belongs, control joints in the right places, and drainage that carries water away from the foundation instead of towards it. Deep-winter pours need cold-weather measures, so we take those case by case rather than promising anything we'd have to cut corners to keep.
How we work
The boring parts, done properly
A price that holds
Fixed in writing before we start. If we hit something unexpected underground, we stop and call you first.
Honest, not salesy
If a repair will do, we'll say so instead of selling you a replacement. If a job isn't right for us, we'll say that too.
Permits handled
Underpinning, walkouts and additions need permits and engineered drawings. We manage that process rather than leaving it with you.
We clean up
Old concrete hauled away, yard raked, street swept. You won't know where we parked.
Backed afterwards
Every job carries a workmanship warranty, and we walk the finished work with you before we call it done.
Residential and commercial
The same crew and the same fixed-quote approach, sized up for GCs and property managers. See commercial.
This page states only what the existing site and reviews already support. Before launch it needs the real details from the client: the year the company started, how many people are on the crew, licence numbers, insurance limits and WSIB clearance, and whether Fedor should be named and photographed as the owner.
“Fedor and his crew exceeded my expectations with the work they did in my backyard. He patiently answered all my questions and explained every stage of the job. The professionalism and courtesy shown by every member of his team was evident daily.”
